Artist statement:
"As an artist I consider myself a storyteller, I am interested in human traces as photography, oral history, archival material and objects that together constitute the “story about us”. By working with these different sources, I construct stories with the help of fact and fiction. My work manifests itself in installations consisting of photography, video, text and objects."
Heidi Nikolaisen

Heidi Nikolaisen (b. 1973) lives and works in Bergen. She works as an Assistant Professor at the Bergen National Academy of the Arts, and in 2009 she received a three year working grant from the Norwegian government.
